Discipleship in Community

Having a Positive Influence

We believe that prayer, for the  Christian, is not the last ditch effort; prayer is our strongest and most primary asset in life. Prayer aligns our hearts with the purposes God has for us in this life. Click below to fill out a Prayer Request to tell us how we can be praying with you.
We believe that becoming a more mature follower of Jesus is a journey of growth in our faith. We regularly meet in Community Groups to partner together in becoming stronger in our faith. Click below for more information on our Community Groups.
We believe followers of Christ should have a positive influence on the lives of the people around them. The community around a church should have a positive view of the people of the church. Click below to get involved serving the community.

COMMUNITY BELIEFS

The following are the core beliefs of Christ's Community Church Of The Nazarene based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

GOD

There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise.  God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom,  justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

JESUS

Jesus is the fully God and fully human revelation of God's desired relationship with His people. Jesus gave up the his throne to come to us in God's never-ending, relentless pursuit of relationship with us. Jesus is the only means of redemption and a restored relationship with God. The greatest question a person could ever answer in their life is the question Jesus asked Peter, "Who do you say I am?"

MANDKIND

Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God's creations, but they failed to obey God's one command. As a result, sin (separation from God) was introduced to creation; into which all humanity has been born ever since, subsequently, every person is in desperate need of God's redemptive work through Jesus.

THE BIBLE

The Bible is God's inspired word to His people, it is powerful and authoritative for all, revealing the nature and character of God to us. God wants us to know him, and has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the Bible, and through all of creation itself.

SALVATION

Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.

THE CHURCH

The Church is the source of God's continued redemptive work in the world; it is meant to be a community of Christ followers who are sent into the world to share the good news of new life in Jesus Christ.
